La visita angiologica accompagna sempre l'esame eco-color Doppler, con lo scopo di capire la situazione del paziente attraverso un indagine vascolare non invasiva. La visita serve anche per definire una strategia terapeutica che a partire dai sintomi cerca di risolvere il problema del paziente.
Esame eco-color-Doppler Tronchi Epiaortici
Si tratta di un particolare esame che serve a controllare lo stato delle arterie che portano il sangue alla testa per l’ossigenazione delle cellule cerebrali. L’esame studia le arterie carotidi comune, interna ed esterna; le arterie vertebrali, le arterie oftalmiche e le arterie succlavie.
Grazie all'esame eco-color-Doppler possiamo valutare lo stato delle pareti vascolari e notare la presenza di eventuali restringimenti che potrebbero indurre delle stenosi emodinamiche. L' esame dei tronchi epiaortici è indicato per i pazienti che presentano fattori di rischio quali diabete mellito, ipertensione ed ipercolesterolemia, oppure per i pazienti che usano fumare.
